Job Summary (includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned)
Responsible for Financial and Commercial Optimization, Strategic Opportunities and Systemic ROI Projects for Power Operations. Specific responsibilities include Parts and Repair modeling, analytical supporting of OEM negotiations, obsolescent part liquidation, ROI projects across Engineering, OS and Plant departments. Strong coordination between Financial group, Technical Analytics group, Operations and Commercial teams. Directs the prioritization and coordination of tasks and assignments, maximizing the efficient use of the department’s resources in support of corporate and department goals and objectives.
Job Responsibilities
Manages multiple department functions with an operational focus.
Defines project scope, planning, documentation, tracking, and analysis of results.
Manages activities of multiple functions through first and second-level management and professionals, including full human resources, cost, and budgetary accountability.
Works within broad guidelines; applies advanced technical and commercial knowledge to solve complex problems that may have long-term impacts on the department/company.
Decisions typically related to implementing department strategy, intradepartmental coordination, and business outcomes.
Results have a significant impact on costs and achievement of department objectives.
Identifies opportunities that make a significant difference to the performance of multiple department functions and possibly organization-wide impact.
Makes decisions for large-scale projects, a closely related set of projects and/or initiatives involving multiple functional areas.
Establishes operational objectives for multiple functions, including work plans and delegating assignments to subordinate managers and senior professionals.
Works within broad guidelines; applies advanced technical knowledge of multiple functions to solve complex problems that may have a long-term impact on the department.
Manages multiple functions within a department with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods, and employees.
Responsible for performance reviews, promotional decisions, and pay actions for top professionals and management.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics, computational science, engineering, finance, economics, or accounting or equivalent. Prefer Master’s Degree.
Previous management experience.
Typically requires a minimum of 15 years in the area of specialization.
