YOU WOULD HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Create a memorable experience for our guests, remaining attentive to their needs at all times
Oversee execution of special events as well as restaurant service through industry leading service practices, including menu execution and food quality, overall experience, and ensuring guest feedback is received
Assist the Food & Beverage Manager with team member relations including recruitment, training, scheduling, coaching, and recognition
Work with the Food & Beverage Manager and Executive Chef to implement new menu items and cocktails for special events, seasonal menu changes and featured holidays; utilizing customer metrics and market research to increase bookings and drive revenue
Supervise and coach all service and banquet team members by demonstrating superior customer service skills and living our purpose, vision, and values
Rectify any guest issues as needed
Assist with ordering of bar and event décor inventory items
Assist the team in the set-up & décor of special events at the Arlington Hotel & River’s Edge with a high attention to detail, ensuring proper set-up in accordance with the BEO
Develop strong relationships with guests and employees by maintaining a regular presence on the floor during key times
Responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring compliance with food safety, health & safety, and AGCO standards at all times
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Post-secondary education in hospitality or a related field an asset
Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills
2-3 years’ experience in the hospitality / tourism / restaurant industry is required, preferably in a supervisory capacity
Smart Serve Certified
Experience using Microsoft Suite, Open Table, and POS systems
Ability to build rapport quickly with guests
Able to work on a variable schedule including days, evenings, holidays, and weekends
