Records and inputs all orders received by fax telephone or other means of communication. Assist customer with price checks and locating missing items. Conduct personal communication with the customer to assure completeness and correctness of all data. Operate computer terminal to receive and extract customer information. Communicates with coworkers in the same department and other departments, if necessary, to find the correct information for the customer. Communicate with the Buying Department to obtain any information that was unsuccessfully obtained from the above methods( i.e. release dates of new products). Contacts appropriate department and/or supervisor to trace lost or delayed shipments. Contacts other customers to find merchandise that may have been dropped off at the wrong location. Executes all phases of billing and /or credits.
