Description

We are on the lookout for a dedicated Senior Financial Analyst to join our established healthcare client. The role is a long term consulting opportunity that involves managing the budgeting/forecasting/analysis day-to-day for a major organization. Your main duties will include forecasting revenue and expenditure trends, preparing financial reports, and maintaining financial databases. Pay is up to $80/hr. regular time and $120/hr. overtime. The role is 100% remote. You must work Pacific Standard Time and live in the U.S.

The start date is pending health screening, but ideally you will start on 3/10/25. The project duration is 6 months but might go longer if your performance exceeds expectations. You should have proficiency with Workday Financial Management software and EPIC. You must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university.

Responsibilities:

• Effectively forecast revenue and expenditure trends to monitor fiscal performance.

• Prepare comprehensive financial reports for both internal and external use.

• Maintain and manage various financial databases and records for reporting purposes.

• Execute thorough analyses of financial transactions, budget variances, and trends for assigned departments.

• Design and implement procedural improvements to automated systems and recommend procedures for processing financial transactions.

• Develop budgetary needs of existing and new activities, including analysis and projections of appropriations and limitations.

• Examine historical and projected financial data to provide management with valuable data for making financial decisions.

• Maintain complete files and records, maintain various computer files and records, inputs and retrieve a variety of fiscal and statistical information for assigned departments.

• Maintain liaison with other departments in the preparation and analysis of financial reports to provide information and resolve issues concerning variances from the approved budget.

• Monitor budget expenditures and prepare written reports and analyses to management setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.

• Prepare and coordinate distribution of various financial reports and analyses for management and external agencies.

• Ensure compliance with established guidelines as assigned and prepare financial transactions and/or reports for assigned departments.

Requirements

• Proficiency in financial reporting and variance analysis

• Strong understanding of finance principles and practices

• Experience with budgeting and revenue accounting

• Knowledge of planning processes and budget processes

• Ability to perform ad hoc financial tasks as needed

• Familiarity with database operations and computer systems

• Experience in supervising and managing capital

• Skills in resolving issues and ensuring compliance with procedures

• Proficiency in financial analysis and expenditure management

• Ability to progress and evolve within a dynamic environment

• Capable of being a liaison between different departments or teams

• Understanding of Workday Financial Management software and EPIC.

• Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements

• Knowledge of financial operations and procedures.
