Job Description:

This position holds primary responsibility for developing and successfully implementing the future state SAS facilities roadmap. This role serves as a strategic business partner to the Segment executives and management team to enact a future state vision in support of business operations. Recognized as an external and internal expert and thought leader with deep and substantive technical expertise as well as advanced business knowledge and leadership capabilities. Communicates with contacts inside and outside of the organization on matters of strategic importance to influence executive leadership on new concepts, practices, and approaches. Establishes overall direction for new processes, systems, and solutions. Recommends and implements strategies and develops operational plans/goals with direct impact to the achievement against functional strategies.

Responsible for establishing the direction for new processes, systems, solutions, and products using significant conceptualization, reason, and interpretation. Solutions are innovative and often define best practice for the future. Opportunities for problem solving and innovation are regularly complex, requiring broad-based consideration of variables that impact multiple areas of the organization. Extensively analyzes implications of both near and long-term implications of solutions.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide leadership for the SAS Facilities portfolio in terms of both Tactical and Strategic Management as one accountable leader to coordinate w/ other responsible parties across SAS and CHQ Shared Services (Business stakeholders, Facilities, Space Planning and GRE).

  • Develop SAS segment wide strategy to optimize site footprint:

  • Partner with Sector and Functional leaders to understand how future business needs will drive facility utilization requirements.

  • Create and analyze financial models to determine the cost effectiveness of various facility scenarios

  • Create and manage tactical plans to enact the future facilities portfolio

  • Partner with Shared Services Facilities Lead to leverage corporate wide and regional initiative and to solve for space demands across SAS portfolio.

  • Partner with Global Real Estate (GRE) in real estate optimization, and perform cost study analyses to determine the most optimal path forward. To include lease versus purchase analyses, and future cross segment facility plans.

  • Work closely with Shared Services to drive consistency throughout the L3Harris sites and best practice sharing.

  • Provide leadership SAS Facilities team members, including providing opportunities for appropriate team development - ensure process knowledge, skills, competencies in place to execute all aspects of their roles; identify stretch assignments; support career development, etc.

  • Assist and support the team with identifying and implementing cost reduction opportunities by applying e3 principles and tools. Conduct external industry benchmarking, evaluate and implement solutions through active change management.

  • Work effectively with shared services executives and other leaders in the business units to drive business innovation and continuous improvement processes across SAS.

  • Ability to travel and work effectively in a matrix organization

    Qualifications:

  • Requires both advanced business knowledge and highest level of technical mastery in functional area. Leadership capability to guide business or functional teams wit formal management role. Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related in facilities management experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related in facilities management experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related in facilities management experience.

  • Project management experience and skills including coordination, communication, phrioritization, budget adherence, milestone completion, and recruiting resources
