Job Title: Maintenance & Reliability Engineer -- Painesville, OH

Styropek is the North American leader in the EPS (Expandable Polystyrene) industry and the largest EPS producer on the American Continent.  Our certified products are utilized across many applications, including building, packaging, and automotive. We have 7 manufacturing plants and 15 sites in 7 countries and belong to the Alfa-Alpek family. Alfa manages a diversified portfolio of subsidiaries including Alpek, which is one of the world's leading producers of polyester & fibers, and a leader in the polypropylene and expandable polystyrene (EPS) market.  The other subsidiaries within Alfa's portfolio are food products, such as Yoplait®, IT and telecom services such as Axtel.

We are currently seeking Maintenance & Reliability Engineer for our facility in Painesville, OH. 

Styropek's Painesville plant is located about 30 miles northeast of Cleveland, OH. The site manufactures Expandable Polystyrene products used in the construction and packaging industries.

*Position Summary: *

This position is responsible for maintenance and reliability activities at our Painesville, OH site. This position will work closely with the Site Leader, Technical Leader, and the Operations and Maintenance teams related to overall plant strategy and decisions. This role will develop Responsible Care (RC) and Maintenance strategies, plans, and priorities to support PV site objectives. This position will assist the Site Leader in developing personal, direct report and team-based incentive compensation objectives for the Painesville maintenance team.

*Responsibilities: *

Environmental, Health, Safety & Security:

• Provides oversight, direction and support to ensure safe maintenance practices through emphasis on safety in policies, procedures, methods and training requirements
• Ensures compliance with government & corporate environmental standards through emphasis on policies, procedures, methods and training requirements
• Responsible for ensuring incident investigations are completed by maintenance at Painesville site.
• Responsible for monthly maintenance safety meetings
• Participating in Safety Interactions and ensure direct report participation
• Support and maintain the ISO 14001 Management System including the Internal Audit and Management Review processes.
• OSHA 1910 Mechanical Integrity - Schedule inspections, and assure compliance, with all API, and other applicable standards.

Quality:

• Ensures overall compliance with ISO Standards through predictive and preventative maintenance, meeting attendance and communication of expectations
• Facilitates continuous site improvement, through development and implementation of cost reductions and reliability efficiencies within the maintenance team.

• Ensure that equipment operates reliably and functions correctly to produce high quality products.
