Job Description

As a General Laborer, your responsibilities will include measuring distances from grade stakes, driving them and stretching tight lines, bolting, nailing, aligning, and blocking up under forms, and signaling operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery to grade specifications. You will also be tasked with leveling earth to fine grade specifications, mixing concrete, smoothing and forming freshly poured concrete, and positioning, joining, aligning, and sealing pipe sections. Other tasks include erecting scaffolding, shoring, and braces, applying paints or other compounds for surface protection, spraying materials such as water, sand, steam, vinyl, paint, or stucco through a hose, grinding, sanding, or polishing surfaces, installing concrete reinforcing, sorting stripped forms, removing forms from set concrete, performing tasks involving dexterous use of hands and hand tools, lifting, carrying, and holding building materials, tools, and supplies, cleaning tools, equipment, materials, and the work area. You will also be expected to perform other miscellaneous duties as directed by your supervisor and to adhere to company safety policies at all times.
