Aerotek is hiring for a contract Machine Helper.
Job Description
Your main task would be to assist full-time crane operators by attaching the chains and scanning bundles of rebar orders using a tablet scanner.
This role involves standing for 8-hour shifts in an outdoor construction environment, performing repetitive yet critical tasks to ensure smooth operations.
You will be actively involved in the crane operator area, bundling chains, and scanning QR codes on loaded transports.

Hard Skills
Operate a hand-held tablet scanner to scan QR codes
Ability to perform general labor duties for 8 hour shifts
Experience working at a construction site is an asset
Comfortable working in an outdoor setting (dress for the weather type jobs).
Work Environment
Outdoor work environment throughout the year, exposed to various weather conditions.
The workplace is full of rebar, and you will work alongside machine operators in a very blue-collar setting.
Steel-toed boots and warm clothing are essential.
Work hours are from 7 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Thursday, and 7 AM to 3:30 PM on Fridays.
Hourly pay as $19/hour
