WSP USA Air Quality Engineer in Ottawa, Ontario

The Opportunity:

You’ll be part of our growing Air Quality Modelling and Greenhouse Gas Team, using your skills as an Air Quality Engineer or Scientist to complete assessments and support design of major Infrastructure projects in Ontario and beyond! This role offers a variety of work, in an hybrid work environment, completing proposal pursuit, reporting, air quality assessments and modelling. The projects you will support will be some of the most complex and innovative ones for our Earth & Environmental Team.

A day in the life:

  • You'll be using your expertise to lead and/or support the preparation of emission summary and dispersion modelling reports, air quality studies, greenhouse gas emission inventories and technical support documents to support design, permitting and compliance and environmental assessments.

  • You will lead and/or support the preparation of proposals and, collaborate with our many counterparts in all our different disciplines at WSP.

  • You’ll provide technical expertise and client deliverables on projects.

  • You will work as part of a large collaborative and diverse team of air quality professionals which includes both senior and junior members.

  • You’ll be managing relationships with internal and external clients and ensuring that their needs are understood and met, providing your guidance and expertise.

  • You want to make a difference and will be able to share ideas to innovate.

What you’ll bring to WSP:

  • University or equivalent education or experience in related Sciences or Engineering fields

  • You have about 5-10 years experience in the air quality field

  • You enjoy environmental consulting where each day is a new challenge!

  • You know your way around the MS Office suite of products;

  • You are comfortable using emission and dispersion models including AERMOD, CALPUFF, MOVES and others

  • You are an outstanding communicator with lots of initiative and drive

  • You enjoy working as part of a team
