Randstad Staffing is hiring for a CNC Mill Programmer Machinist in Plymouth, MN with a CNC Machine Shop within the aerospace/defense industries. Responsibilities
Job Summary: 5th Axis Machinist - Level 3 will efficiently make quality conforming product by effective application of work holding, machine tool setup and tool offset adjustments.
Essential Functions:
• The primary duties and responsibilities of a 5 axis machinist - Level 3 consist of but are not limited to:
• Efficiently use 5 axis machine tool and shop time to make quality parts
• Program new, moderate complexity multi-axis parts from CAD model using Mastercam software
• Must create clear, logical programs with documentation for others to follow
• Create and new and complex work holding and fixtures
• Setup new and repeating high complexity parts
• Maintain a rolling 12 week average setup & run time efficiency of 75% or higher
• Competently complete secondary operations such as deburring
• Perform basic machine preventative maintenance activities
• Collaborate with production management, engineering, and quality to establish effective processes
• Work effectively within a team to achieve production goals
• Train, mentor and coach other team members
• Must be able to achieve tolerances of +/-.0002" using best machining practices
