THE OPPORTUNITY

Join our rapidly growing software engineering team as a mobile and web focused content management platform developer, specializing in headless CMS systems that support both React Native and React web applications.
This is a role in which you will be a part of a talented group of developers building the critical components that make up the next iteration of Abbott’s FreeStyle Libre diabetes management platform. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, creativity, and strategic thinking to design and implement effective solutions using the Contentful headless content management system. Candidates will work with a modern tech stack on mobile and web platforms which are currently available in over 50 countries around the world.
The candidate should bring a passion for software development and a desire for continuous learning as well as versatility, leadership qualities and a desire to help shape the direction of the team.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Create and maintain content models and schemas within Contentful, ensuring that content is structured for multi-channel distribution and future scalability.
Design and implement integrations with other systems and third-party services using Contentful APIs
Script out content retrieval as part of a continuous integration process
Manage the localization of software projects using translation management tools such as Crowdin and XTM.
Ensure data flows seamlessly between the content platform and external applications.
Develop custom solutions and extensions within Contentful, including custom content types, webhooks, and scripts, to meet business requirements.
Plan and execute content migration strategies, ensuring a smooth transition of content from legacy systems into new headless CMS systems
Ensure that the CMS platform adheres to security best practices and complies with relevant regulations and standards.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of the Content platform, data models, integrations, and customizations for reference by technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Work to resolve the root cause of complex problems, leaving software better and easier to maintain than when you found it.
Engage in technical planning, design, estimation, and code reviews including peer review of pull request.
Stay up to date with current best practices, standards, and open-source frameworks, making recommendations as needed to help the organization innovate.
EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or an equivalent combination of technical education and work experience.
5+ years of software development experience
Proven experience in designing and developing within a Headless CMS system.
Strong understanding of headless CMS concepts and management
Proficiency in JavaScript/Typescript
Experience developing Mobile applications with React Native or other hybrid frameworks
Strong written and verbal skills
Ability to be a team player
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in an agile development environment preferred.
Experience with theContentful CMS system
Familiar with application localization/globalization best practices

The base pay for this position is $83,000.00 – $166,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
