Amentum Human Resource Manager in Orlando, Florida

We are hiring an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our human resources team. This position will report to the Director of Human Resources. The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for overall management of the HR function for the entire business line. Duties encompass development and implementation of human resource strategy, management, and initiative(s) including but not limited to compensation, benefits, staffing, employee relations, equal employment opportunity (EEO), employee development, labor relations, and adherence to company policies, procedures, and related government regulations. This is an in-office position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Partner with business line management in the achievement of business goals, strategy and initiatives.

  • Communicate and provide guidance to managers and employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and instructions to ensure compliance.

  • Manage effective relationships and communicating with management at all levels and serves as a coach to Managers and Front-Line Leaders.

  • Develop and administer policies and programs covering all areas of Human Resources such as recruitment, wage and salary administration, training, employee relations, benefits and equal employment opportunity (EEO)/affirmative action (AA) programs.

  • Ensure employee relations issues are properly identified, reported, investigated and resolved.

  • Travel to the program’s locations every other week or as needed.

  • Promote a positive work culture by driving team engagement initiatives and employee advocacy.

  • Manage the employee performance management and compensation process within the business unit(s)

  • Support new business development requirements to support business goals and objectives.

  • Develop, implement and monitor results of the Company's Learning and Development training program and establish goals and objectives for these programs. Deliver training in person or media formats as needed.

  • Lead and manage HR Team including assignment and monitoring of work, development, communication, reward, and recognition and managing overall performance.

  • Implement processes for internal communication of HR related information.

  • Enforces a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field plus seven years of diverse HR experience with at least three years of HR management experience

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong leadership skills and capable of working in a multi-cultural environment.

  • Ability to multi-task, teach and implement new programs/procedures and flexible in a fast-paced environment.

  • Self-motivated and detail oriented.

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

  • Demonstrated experience in hiring, onboarding and developing employees.

  • HR Certification preferred.

  • Requires a valid US passport and driver’s license.

  • This position requires the individual to be eligible to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance; US citizenship is required.
