The Head of EOS Planning and Oversight (Enterprise Operational Services) is a senior leadership role responsible for establishing and maintaining business case evaluation standards, overseeing the strategic planning process, and ensuring all business cases align with organizational objectives. Works with Performance Analytics leader to ensure committed KPIs and KRIs are tracked and monitored. They play a pivotal role in shaping decision-making criteria, fostering data-driven analysis, and maintaining strong governance practices that support the bank's strategic direction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Lead business case evaluation frameworks that ensure consistent alignment of strategic initiatives across the organization.

  2. Lead strategic planning processes, working closely with the Head of Business Prioritization and Portfolio Management to define clear objectives, success metrics, and implementation roadmaps.

  3. Establish and maintain governance standards for business case development, ensuring thorough risk assessment, financial analysis, and strategic alignment.

  4. Partner with key stakeholders to identify and prioritize strategic initiatives based on organizational impact, resource requirements, and expected outcomes.

  5. Guide teams in developing robust business cases that clearly articulate value proposition, implementation approach, and success metrics.

  6. Oversee the evaluation and prioritization of funding requests, ensuring optimal resource allocation aligned with strategic priorities.

  7. Build and maintain relationships with executive leadership to provide strategic guidance on business case development and evaluation.

  8. Drive continuous improvement in evaluation methodologies and governance processes to enhance decision-making effectiveness.

  9. Monitor and report on the success of implemented initiatives, tracking realized benefits against business case projections.

  10. Foster a culture of strategic thinking and rigorous analysis in business case development across the organization.

  11. Build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams, fostering professional growth and a commitment to excellence.

  12. Develop standards of performance to ensure the team’s skill sets evolve with emerging industry demands and promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.

  13. Responsible for effective development of a team that operates consistent with Truist’s organizational values.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent education and related experience

  2. 15 years’ experience leading in any combination of strategy, product development, large complex implementations, and operations in banking, FinTech related functions.

  3. Track record of successfully implementing and managing large scale, cross functional programs

  4. Proven ability to act as leader between product, operations and technical groups and first and second line

  5. Exceptional analytical, critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills

  6. Strong communication skills - written, verbal and interpersonal.

  7. Demonstrated ability to successfully drive transformational change.

  8. Ability to engage and manage senior stakeholders both inside and outside of the organization.

  9. Performance in a wide array of functional roles with both direct and indirect management responsibilities

  10. Strong leadership, organizational, and planning skills

  11. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Visio, Power Point, Excel, and Word

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience in both Consumer and Wholesale banking and holistic banking, products, services, operations, finance and systems.
