The Fuel and Facilities Project Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the Properties and Facilities department by undertaking various tasks and initiatives aimed at ensuring the successful execution of projects related to fuel systems and facilities management. This position requires a blend of project management skills, technical knowledge, and effective communication abilities to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Development of Bid Documents/Awards:
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to draft comprehensive bid documents for fuel and facilities projects.
Assist in the evaluation of bids and participate in the award process in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
Collaboration with Architects and Engineers:
Work closely with architects, engineers, and other professionals to establish project requirements, specifications, and timelines.
Provide input and support during the design phase to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder Communication:
Regularly update stakeholders, including senior management, on the progress of construction projects.
Communicate project milestones, challenges, and potential impacts on timelines or budgets effectively and in a timely manner.
Routine Site Visits:
Conduct routine site visits to review the progress of construction activities and ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety protocols.
Identify any issues or discrepancies and collaborate with project teams to implement corrective actions promptly.
Project Close-Out Facilitation:
Facilitate efforts towards a successful project close-out by coordinating with various stakeholders to address outstanding issues, complete documentation, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement for future projects.
Job Qualifications
Minimum Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in fuel quality program management or safety management
Must have previous experience in aviation fuel quality control operations, inspection, and design.
Additional knowledge and skills:
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards related to construction, fuel systems, and facilities management.
Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
