System One DevOps Systems Engineer in Orlando, Florida
System One is seeking a DevOps Systems Engineer for a full-time/permanent opportunity in Orlando, FL. Applicants must be able to obtain a Department of Defense Security Clearance or currently possess and active Secret Security Clearance for consideration. The DevOps Systems Engineer will be directly responsible for identifying, implementing, and continually improving the entire development toolset, with particular focus on build and deployment automation supporting Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery. Software Development Lifecycle, Agile, and other DevOps concepts are central to your thinking, supported by your very wide understanding of technology and ability to learn and adapt new tools and technologies quickly.
Work closely with software development and IT operations teams to understand their needs, making sure the development tools, system, and infrastructure are aligned to support business goals.
Identify, design, implement, document, and promote tool and method best practices for efficient software development, testing, and deployment.
Implement and manage development systems tools for source control, versioning, build orchestration, and test automation.
Automate the deployment process to ensure that code can be quickly and reliably deployed to various environments, including virtualized and container-based environments.
Ensure proper documentation and knowledge sharing among team members to maintain best practices and promote innovation.
Monitor and troubleshoot the development toolset, identifying issues and opportunities to improve system performance, stability, and security.
Required Skills
5+ years of relevant experience. Background and/or degree in Computer science or IT administration.
Strong DevOps tools and methods experience, strong understanding of Agile best practices including software development life cycle, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment. Dedication to building strong, robust development systems.
Strong experience with configuration management, managing packages, patches, and software configuration across multiple platforms.
Strong experience with build and deployment automation, source control, versioning, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.
Current Security+ certification strongly desired. Linux+, Network+, and other related certifications are desired.
Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Security Clearance
