THE WORK

As an assembler you will perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies. You will be required to work from diagrams and drawings, use jigs, hand and/or power tools. You will need to make continuity checks on work in process and completed. In some cases you may be required disassemble, modify, rework, and/or reassemble products according to Manufacturing Engineering instructions.

1. Reading and interpreting blueprints and wiring diagrams to determine the appropriate components and assembly procedures.

2.Cutting, stripping, and crimping wires to specified lengths and sizes.

3. Assembling connectors, terminals, and other components onto wires and cables.

4.Building subassemblies, such as harnesses, wire bundles, and cable assemblies, according to customer specifications.

5.Maintaining a clean and organized work area to ensure efficiency and safety.

6. Following all safety procedures and guidelines to minimize the risk of injury.

7. Meeting production goals and quotas while maintaining high levels of quality.

8. Collaborating with engineers, technicians, and other team members to solve production problems and improve processes.

9. Keeping up-to-date with new technologies, techniques, and industry standards in cable assembly.

You will be supporting the Sub-Assembly Area for the RMS Orlando Location. Our team is composed of 12 assemblers with electrical and mechanical experience.

Basic Qualifications:

Strong background in the manufacturing/Build of sub-assemblies

Experience with soldered, crimp, harness and mechanical inspection IAW IPC-A-620 requirements as well as common hand tool usage

Detail-oriented and proficient at interpreting drawings, diagrams, parts lists, IPC manuals, revision control, reference documents and work instructions and material to facilitate the cable build process.

Proficient with Personal Computers, and familiarity with Outlook, Excel, Solumina and EPDM.

This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
