Position Summary
The Nestlé Product Technology Centre Coffee (NPTC Coffee) is the leading R&D organization that discover, develop and deploy coffee and beverage products and technologies for in-home and out-of-home consumption. It consists of units in Konolfingen (CH), Marysville (USA), Orbe (CH) and Singapore and provide new products and processes to all Nestlé markets worldwide.

As a “ R&D Specialist for Coffee ”, you will lead key innovation projects to foster business growth for our iconic brands (Nescafé Gold & Classic, Starbucks @ Home, Nescafé Azera, Blue Bottle Coffee and more).
You will collaborate on a day to day with multidisciplinary teams (Marketing, Operational, Finance, Technical, Consumer& Sensory insight) to ensure the success of the projects.

A Day in the Life of a R&D Specialist for Coffee
Propose, plan and deliver projects for the NPTC and/or markets up to industrializations for new concepts, products, processes and systems
Write and update process guidelines and manufacturing instructions with full compliance to Nestlé requirements
Identify and mitigate risks and opportunities linked to the project and provide alternative solutions
Drive stakeholder alignments and the key-decisions periods
Develop further competences in the coffee category and enjoy lots of great coffee tastings
Propose innovative ideas to contribute to business growth and propose activities to contribute to large company initiatives
What will make you successful
Solid Product Development experience dealing with new technologies, improving, and implementing processes in R&D environments. Experience on flavors is a strong advantage.
Holding a bachelor’s degree in food or chemical engineering
Experience working in a green coffee producing market
Experience in leading multidisciplinary team and influencing without authority
Q Arabica Grader Certified
Strong ability to complete complex tasks and work autonomously
Strong communication skills in English, Spanish and Portuguese is an asset
Experience in Operations, technical and commercial function would be a plus
Good negotiation skills would be a plus
