Environmental Project Manager

As an Environmental Project Manager, you will lead and oversee highly complex environmental and engineering projects related to subsurface contamination. Your role involves project analysis, client communication, business development, regulatory coordination, data interpretation, and mentoring. Here are the key details:

Responsibilities:

  • Project Analysis:

  • Conduct analysis for highly complex environmental and engineering projects related to subsurface contamination.

  • Competency Areas:

  • Demonstrate competency in field supervision, technical knowledge, and project management.

  • Client Communication:

  • Manage and communicate results, budget, and schedule information to clients, project managers, and executive managers.

  • Business Development:

  • Identify new clients and develop additional work within existing projects or with existing clients.

  • Represent the company professionally with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory personnel.

  • Develop and enact strategies for business growth.

  • Regulatory Coordination:

  • Coordinate extensively with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.

  • Data Interpretation:

  • Manage and interpret laboratory data and investigation-related information.

  • Peer review external risk assessments.

  • Mentoring and Professional Involvement:

  • Mentor junior members of the company.

  • Participate in professional organizations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or related discipline.

  • 7 to 15 years in environmental consulting, working on environmental projects.

  • Experience writing comprehensive technical reports.

  • Ability to develop and maintain long-lasting client relationships.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Physical Demands:

  • Comfortable working outdoors and performing fieldwork on uneven surfaces.

  • Work with tools and materials for sample collections.

  • Lift up to 25 lbs.

  • Expert Level
