Robert Half Network Security Administrator in Ontario, California

Description We are on the lookout for a Network Security Administrator to join our team in Ontario, California. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our IT infrastructure, ensuring the health and performance of our computer networks and systems, and implementing network security best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and monitor the health and performance of our computer networks and systems, including hardware and software.

• Provide local and remote administration for all aspects of our IT infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, storage systems, printers, and desktops.

• Implement and enforce network security best practices, including VPN administration and keeping virus protection software up-to-date.

• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain network equipment such as Dell Switches and SonicWall firewalls.

• Perform all levels of technical support, with the ability to efficiently escalate issues when necessary.

• Configure, maintain, and manage business continuity and disaster recovery platforms.

• Document support procedures, network configurations, and other technical details.

• Participate in other IT-related assignments and projects as needed.

• Utilize knowledge of WAN - Wide Area Network, TCP/IP, and VMware to optimize network performance.

• Support and maintain Microsoft products (Windows 7/10, Office 365/2016). Requirements • Minimum of 5 years experience in a Network Security Administrator role or similar.

• Proven expertise in WAN - Wide Area Network.

• Demonstrable experience with Dell Switches.

• Proficiency in using SonicWall for network security management.

• Experience with MS Office 365 for collaborative tasks and communication.

• Familiarity with VMware for creating and managing virtual machines.

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP for managing network connections and services.

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot network issues.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field is preferred.

• Relevant certifications in Network Security or Systems Administration is a plus. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
