SUNY Oneonta Associate Director of ASPIRE & EOP in Oneonta, New York
The Office of Access and Opportunity Programs at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Oneonta invites applications for the position of Associate Director of ASPIRE and Educational Opportunity Program (EOP). This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the university's mission by overseeing and managing these vital programs that support student success and advancement.The Associate Director of EOP & ASPIRE will collaborate closely with the Executive Director of Access and Opportunity Programs to lead and oversee the operation of the programs. In this role, the Associate Director will assume a leadership position and take responsibility for managing and supervising staff of both the Educational Opportunity Program and ASPIRE Oneonta program. To learn more about the University or the Department, please visit https://suny.oneonta.edu/ or https://suny.oneonta.edu/office-access-and-opportunity-programs.Duties include but are not limited to:Supervision and Management of professional staff and studentsProgram Leadership: Manage the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) and ASPIRE Oneonta program, providing direction and support to staff for student success.Collaboration: Work with the Executive Director to plan, supervise staff, and facilitate coordination among campus units, ensuring holistic student support. Assist with Summer Academy planning and execution.Records and Reporting: Maintain accurate program records, prepare reports, and evaluate staff performance to enhance program effectiveness.Academic Support: Contribute to academic initiatives such as PACE & TAC coach programs, Tutoring Program, Study Hour program, and aiming to improve student learning outcomes.Representation: Represent EOP & ASPIRE to students, campus offices, and external bodies, advocating for program goals and fostering diversity and inclusion.Salary: $66,000 to $70,000 commensurate with experience. Experience with tutoring, academic coaching, working with faculty and/or academic support services.Experience and knowledge in program planning, college admissions, and/or student financial aid processes.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in counseling students who are disadvantaged and/or from diverse cultural backgrounds is highly desirable.Experience in curriculum development and/or college instruction.Experience working in higher education, K-12, and/or in access programs.Bilingual, Spanish preferred but not required.Working with and serving diverse populationsAdditional Information:SUNY Oneonta enrolls about 5,500 students who pursue bachelor's or master's degrees or certificates in one of 70-plus academic programs.
