Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Transportation Planning Specialist 4 to serve as a Roadside Asset Data Steward. This position will work within the Development Division's Design Office under the general direction of the Safety, Policy, and Innovations Engineer and division stewards for active transportation facilities, roadside barriers, and hydraulics (referred to as assigned assets). In this role, you will provide leadership, consultation, and expert services as data steward for assigned assets and perform in-service performance evaluation of priority roadside safety hardware. This senior level position will also be responsible for stewarding, maintaining, and ensuring the quality of the data systems for the assigned assets and for coordinating with the WSDOT Technology Services Division (TSD) in the development of test and production environments for the data. This position is responsible for integrating data and creating repeatable data products for analytical use within the Development Division. This position will coordinate user access to data for users performing analyses and reporting with TSD.
