Description
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Temp to Hire Bookkeeper with outstanding Excel skills to join our client's team in Oklahoma City. This role requires a highly organized individual with a strong background in bookkeeping and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to transition from a temporary position to a permanent role based on performance. This role is 100% onsite!
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
Perform daily bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare and process invoices, expense reports, and financial statements.
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with established procedures and internal controls.
Manage and update spreadsheets and databases using advanced Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, PivotTables, macros).
Coordinate with the accounting team and other departments to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Provide support during the budgeting and forecasting processes.
Respond to inquiries from vendors, clients, and internal staff regarding financial matters.
Assist with other accounting and administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis.
Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial regulations.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) is a plus.
Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
