Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Description

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Temp to Hire Bookkeeper with outstanding Excel skills to join our client's team in Oklahoma City. This role requires a highly organized individual with a strong background in bookkeeping and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to transition from a temporary position to a permanent role based on performance. This role is 100% onsite!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.

  • Perform daily bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.

  • Prepare and process invoices, expense reports, and financial statements.

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with established procedures and internal controls.

  • Manage and update spreadsheets and databases using advanced Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, PivotTables, macros).

  • Coordinate with the accounting team and other departments to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

  • Provide support during the budgeting and forecasting processes.

  • Respond to inquiries from vendors, clients, and internal staff regarding financial matters.

  • Assist with other accounting and administrative tasks as needed.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.

  • Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis.

  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial regulations.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) is a plus.

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
