ASRC Federal Holding Company Engineering Technician, Level 3 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

ASRC Federal System Solutions serves as a contract support for the FAA NAS (Federal Aviation Administration National Airspace System) National Enterprise & Infrastructure System Engineering Group. Join our growing team as an Engineering Technician Level III in support of the FAA’s mission.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide facility and technical support on all system platforms in both the AJW153 Comm. Eng. Lab, AJW172 Data Comm. Lab, and AJW153 FTIMW Lab.

  • Maintain a clean and orderly lab.

  • Lab supply purchases (CE Tracker, Petty Cash, LCSS).

  • Coordinate and prepare labs for annual OSHA Safety Inspection and correct any findings.

  • Create/Review/Submit LO/TO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures.

  • Maintain and update test equipment inventory for all test equipment and systems in the lab and Warehouse.

  • Assist in conducting inventory of equipment per FRAMES guidelines.

  • Maintain and update lab drawings.

  • Manage and maintain required tool inventory and project material.

  • As tasked, install system/equipment modifications.

  • Install or assist in installing new support systems.

  • Remove and excess support systems and equipment deemed obsolete.

  • Support National Test Equipment Program with annual on-site calibration from Bionectics Calibration Services. Services scheduled annually with visit from mobile calibration truck.

Requirements :

  • Excellent organization skill.

  • Familiar with lab safety protocols and procedure.

  • Familiarity with with operation and troubleshooting of various types of test equipment utilized or used in communication systems in the NAS is highly desirable.

  • Familiarity with NAS facilities and related systems and equipment; operational procedures; and technical documentation are highly desirable

  • Experience working in a team environment

  • Good written and verbal communication skills in the development of technical documentation

  • Ability to pass an FAA background investigation (US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required)

Education/Experience:

  • An Associate’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology or similar science/technology curriculum is required.

  • Experience with NAS facilities, systems, and equipment is desirable

  • Working knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD software. Used to create and maintain lab drawings

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, etc...)

  • Familiar with lab safety protocols and procedures.
