Position Title: Aerospace Electrical Design and Analysis Engineer

Employment Type: W2 Consultant, at least 6 months.

Location: Oklahoma City Metro

Schedule: Hybrid - must be onsite at least 3 days per week; Monday to Friday; First Shift

Compensation: $ 60.00 to $75.00 per hour

Our team is driving the hiring process for Electrical Systems Engineers with a minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years of experience. As an Electrical Systems Engineer with one of our industry-leading partners, you will play a crucial role in the analysis, design, and verification of electrical power systems across a multitude of air and space platforms. Ideal candidates will have direct experience in performing Electrical Loads Analysis (ELA), coordinating with suppliers and partners to ensure compliance with industry standards and requirements, and solving complex problems related to fielded hardware and software throughout the product lifecycle. You will work directly with multiple stakeholders, including customers, system architects, and project managers, to ensure project success and drive innovative solutions that meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and security. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop new solutions, grow and mentor the next generation of engineers, and potentially advance towards technical leadership positions.

Primary Job Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Coordinate, test, and verify Electrical Power requirements with teammates, customers, and system architects through the development and sustainment of various systems.

  • Review supplier and partner qualification data to ensure compliance with electrical power requirements.

  • Perform Electrical Loads Analysis (ELA) on a multitude of platforms in accordance with MIL-E-7016 and MIL-STD-704.

  • Lead and coordinate work to analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs, and interface specifications.

  • Solve problems and provide support for fielded hardware and software throughout the entire product lifecycle.

  • Support project management by tracking and reporting project status, generating bids and requirements, and providing work statements, budgets, and schedules.

Other Job Responsibilities May Include:

  • Research specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.

  • Model the power generation, storage, and dissipation behavior of the Electrical Power Subsystem under various mission scenarios.

  • Identify, track, and status technical performance measures to measure progress and ensure compliance with requirements.

  • Conduct detailed trade studies and generate reports to communicate engineering recommendations.

  • Lead development of high-level and detailed designs consistent with requirements and specifications.

  • Develop automated test equipment to support aircraft test requirements.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.

  • Must have previous experience in the defense or aerospace industry.

  • Must have previous experience writing/verifying Electrical Power requirements.

  • Must have experience using power measurement test and measurement instrumentation (such as power supplies, power meters, and analyzers).

  • Must be familiar with Electrical Loads Analysis (ELA) concepts and MIL-E-7016.

  • Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time as required.

Education Based Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years’ related work experience (Career Level).

  • 9 or more years’ related work experience (Expert Level).

  • 14 or more years’ related work experience (Consultant Level).

  • An ABET accredited Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a Master’s/PhD in electrical engineering.

An Ideal Candidate will possess the following Qualifications:

  • Active U.S. Security Clearance.

  • Experience in the design, analysis, integration, and verification of Electrical Power generation, distribution, and/or regulation systems.

  • Knowledge and experience establishing, designing, and verifying Power Quality requirements and testing in accordance with MIL-STD-704.

  • Experience with power simulation tools.

  • Experience with software scripting/programming languages for office products, test equipment programs, and/or modeling tools.

  • Previous experience in Electrical Power Design and Analysis.

Security Clearance Requirement:

  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

  • To be considered, candidates must be permanent residents of the United States (Green Card or Citizen) and must abide by Federal, State, Local, and organization specific regulations and restrictions such as ITAR, FARs, and COI's.

  • Candidate must be able to obtain a clearance post-start if an active security clearance is not already possessed

Pay Details: $60.00 to $75.00 per hour
