Robert Half Service Writer in Odessa, Texas
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in the construction industry, located in Odessa, Texas. This role will provide support to our financial department by managing daily accounting tasks. You will be part of a team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the company's finances.
Responsibilities:
• Creating and processing work orders and field tickets
• Reconciling fuel receipts and labor costs
• Performing data entry tasks
• Utilizing inhouse software and Microsoft Excel for various tasks
• Account reconciliation and invoice processing
• Allocating expenses and managing work orders
• Handling customer credit applications and maintaining accurate customer credit records
• Monitoring customer credit accounts and taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments
• Ensuring familiarity with industry-specific terms and processes, particularly related to machinery and equipment. Requirements • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in an Accounting Clerk role or similar in the construction/contractor industry
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
• Ability to perform Data Entry tasks with speed and accuracy
• Experience with Invoice Processing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in handling Work Orders
• Familiarity with Expense Allocation
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred but not required
• Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
