ACE PRECISION Resistance Welder in OCONOMOWOC, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Details Job Location Ocnwc - Oconomowoc, WI Position Type Full Time Job Shift Any Description JOB SUMMARY: Operates resistance welder to join metal parts by a series of spot or continuous weld seams in accordance with dimensional specifications on repetitive work where operations and procedures are standardized. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Runs production spot and seam weld joints requiring X-Ray or RWA type resistance weld samples. Performs setups on production jobs. Performs metallographic preparation and inspection of weld samples. Performs mechanical inspection of sample welds. Assists Level 1 Resistance Welders. Visually inspects production welds. Loads pre-established weld schedules and electrodes. Prepares sample coupons for evaluation. Dresses and changes electrodes and seam wheels. Regulates current input and water cooling valves. Follows frequency test requirements for coupons and pull tests. Works from drawings, sketches, routings, and welding instructions. Utilizes process control charts to report variations in processes. Proceeds under general supervision and direction. Instructions and guidance given on new work, variations, and operating difficulties. In coordination with Maintenance Department, monitors preventive maintenance on resistance welding equipment. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of and conformity to Ace Precision Quality System Work Instruction requirements that govern resistance welding operations. Maintains or exceeds production standards through organization and planning. Follows and complies with safety rules, regulations, and work instructions. Accurately completes all required documentation. Meets attendance policy requirements. Contributes to team effort by assisting in areas as needed. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); six to twelve months related experience and/or training to become proficient with procedures, work methods, and requirements for welding quality and quantity; or equivalent combination of education and experience. To perform this job successfully, an individual must have achieved a minimum of 3120 production resistance welding hours, pass a Level 2 resistance welding test, pass a metallographic inspection repeatability and reliability test, and have performed at least 15 machine setups under mentor...
