Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Oak Park, Illinois
Description We are looking for a meticulous and dedicated Accounting Clerk to join our team in Oak Park, Illinois. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for performing the day-to-day processing of data entry and accounts payable transactions to ensure that workflow is maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner. You will also be performing general bookkeeping for residential entities.
Responsibilities:
• Receive and verify invoices and requisitions for goods and services.
• Ensure all invoices and statements are accurate.
• Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures.
• Enter batches of invoices for data entry.
• Review payable accounts to ensure proper coding.
• Check figures, postings and documents for accuracy.
• Enter invoices for approval process before payment.
• Prepare vendor checks for mailing.
• Conduct vendor account analysis.
• Maintain a constant dialogue with personnel regarding purchase order issues.
• Maintain, monitor & update all contract maintenance files.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies with vendors and staff.
• Maintain proper vendor relations by answering calls, reviewing statements, and updating contact information.
• Enter bank deposit information from properties.
• Maintain bank register balances.
• Conduct bank reconciliations.
• Assist in or initiate recurring wires and bank transfers.
The successful candidate will have skills in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, Data Entry, Invoice Processing, Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
• Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Familiarity with Billing processes
• Ability to accurately perform Data Entry tasks
• Experience in Invoice Processing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Oracle
• Familiarity with QuickBooks
• Knowledge of SAP
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
