Actalent QA Technician in Oak Creek, Wisconsin

Job Title: QA TechnicianJob Description

The QA Technician's primary responsibilities include conducting raw material and packaging inspections, monitoring in-process inspections, and reviewing finished goods documentation. Additionally, the role involves performing a variety of standard microbiological, chemical, physical, or sensory testing and assays. The QA Technician will also be responsible for maintaining logs and data records associated with job functions, such as non-conforming materials, corrective action logs, hold logs, and weight control.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct raw material and packaging inspections.

  • Monitor in-process inspections.

  • Review finished goods documentation.

  • Perform standard microbiological, chemical, physical, or sensory testing and assays.

  • Maintain logs and data records associated with job functions (e.g., non-conforming materials, corrective action logs, hold logs, weight control).

Work Environment

This role is within a food manufacturing environment and requires 100% on-floor activity, including completing paperwork and quality audits/checks. The position is on the 3rd shift (10:30 PM – 7:00 AM) with a shift premium of $3.00. Training is conducted Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. The permanent schedule is Monday to Friday, with mandatory overtime potential on Saturdays. The company offers opportunities for training and development from within and promotes from within. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is available once hired on permanently.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $44428.80 - $44428.80/yr.

Benefits for this role will be provided by Furlani foods and are available upon request by potential candidate.
