What’s the role?

The General Manager Digital Product Personalisation will spearhead the development and execution of the digital product personalisation strategy, aimed at delivering tailored user experiences across all of News Corp Australia's digital platforms.

This role is pivotal in driving user satisfaction, engagement, and ultimately business growth by leveraging data-driven insights and cutting-edge AI personalisation technologies.

The General Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Data Science, Marketing and Sales, to create a seamless and individualised user journey that aligns with the company’s overall business objectives. The role will enable the business to personalise and curate interactions at scale with audiences and clients through experiences, content, segments, offers and advertising.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a robust digital product personalisation strategy that encompasses user segmentation, content recommendations, dynamic user interfaces, and enablement of the business to personalise and curate interactions at scale with audiences & clients through experiences, content, segments, offers & advertising

  • Leverage data analytics and machine learning algorithms to gain deep insights into user behaviour, preferences, and needs

  • Collaborate with global Personalisation peers and stakeholders to ensure continued sharing of best practices and future enhancements

  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Developers to implement personalisation features and functionalities across digital platforms

  • Continuously monitor and optimise personalisation efforts based on user feedback, A/B testing results, and key performance indicators (KPIs)

  • Stay at the forefront of personalisation trends and technologies, ensuring our products remain competitive and innovative

  • Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and experimentation within the team, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement

  • Communicate the value and impact of personalisation initiatives to stakeholders across the organisation, showcasing successes and learnings

Who are you?

  • Strong understanding of personalisation principles, methodologies, and technologies

  • Experience in leveraging data analytics and machine learning for user segmentation and targeting

  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful personalisation strategies that drive user

  • engagement and business outcomes

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

  • Data-driven mindset, with a focus on using insights to inform decision-making and optimise user experiences

  • Innovative and creative thinking, with a passion for exploring new personalisation possibilities

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Technology, Data Science, or a related field

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in digital product management, personalisation, or a related field

  • Proven track record of success in developing and implementing personalisation strategies that deliver measurable results

  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving complex projects to completion

  • Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools and platforms

  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest personalisation trends and technologies
