Location Description Northfield, Minn. is home to two Post Consumer Brands manufacturing plants, the Campbell Mill and Ames Mill, two distribution centers, and more than 750 team members. The Campbell Mill plant is 1 million square feet and is home to 7 manufacturing technologies to produce a wide variety of cereal products our customers know and love. Northfield is a town steeped in history, featuring two colleges and the original Ames Mill where the Malt-O-Meal Company got its start. Post Consumer Brands is looking for a Continuous Improvement Engineering Intern for a 12-week summer 2025 immersive & transformative internship experience. This position will be located in Northfield, MN, at our largest plant location. You will work collaboratively with tenured engineers and provide front line engineering support to sustain and improve safety, quality, yield rates and efficiencies by working on assigned activities. MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES / DUTIES The Continuous Improvement Engineering Intern may assist in a number of projects and/or operations support roles in the Operations department. In this role, you will gain experience in the following areas: Data collection, integrity, and reporting to enable process consistency and process improvement efforts Identification and implementation of cost reduction changes related to an assigned area of focus Leadership of small capital projects Coordinate of internal and external resources as needed for assigned activities and initiatives General engineering support. Specific project and operational roles will be identified 30-60 days prior to the start of the internship, based on business needs and intern interests. Qualifications Candidates must be pursuing a four-year undergraduate or graduate degree or at an institution with an accredited program in Engineering graduating December 2025 or May 2026 Completed coursework and have an understanding of Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement methodologies Proven leadership, problem-solving and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and in teams Strong written and oral communication skills The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes initiative to identify areas of opportunity and take action A high level of competence in computer applications and the ability to use technology as a decision-support tool Ability to identify and evaluate tactical methods to achieve objectives, identify deviations from the plan, and facilitate resolution Ability to handle confidential information and use discretion within and outside of the organization Previous internship or work experience (strongly preferred) Interest in the consumer packaged goods / manufacturing industry with the desire to start a career with Post Consumer Brands after graduation (strongly preferred) We are unable to proceed with candidates who require visa sponsorship now or in the future Additional Program Information & Perks Offering competitive compensation Access to a dynamic internship event program including development, networking, & social activities Eligible for subsidized housing & $2,500 relocation stipend Cereal galore – enjoy a variety of cereal options, coffee and popcorn, for free.
