Aston Carter Project Accountant in North Vernon, Indiana

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Accountant to join our finance team. The Project Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of various projects, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and supporting project managers in financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management: Oversee the financial aspects of assigned projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

  • Cost Tracking: Monitor project costs and expenditures, ensuring they are within budget and properly allocated.

  • Invoicing: Prepare and process project-related invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract terms.

  • Reporting: Generate regular financial reports for project managers and stakeholders, highlighting key financial metrics and variances.

  • Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.

  • Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, finance team, and other departments to ensure seamless project execution and financial management.

  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with projects.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project accounting or a similar role.

  • Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

  • Certifications: CPA or CMA certification is a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
