Sr. Manufacturing, Test Engineers with Rivian Automotive, LLC in Normal, IL. Define and implement general assembly vehicle End of Line (EOL) requirements in collaboration with vehicle design, software, and integration teams, in preparation for new product\ launches. Lead development of EOL hardware and software with suppliers during vehicle prototyping. Examples include wheel alignment and headlight aim. Create EOL methods, systems, equipment, and software. Integrate EOL tests with plant systems and processes. Ensure EOL test coverage for all variants and configurations of vehicles. Integrate data from EOL test into analysis systems. Verify robustness of EOL processes in a manufacturing environment (operator error proofing, false pass/fail elimination, etc.) Optimize EOL for manufacturing in collaboration with cross functional teams, considering KPIs such as quality, productivity, and capital expenditure. Lead prototype builds and vehicle commissioning in EOL actions. Lead investigations for process issues leading to EOL failures and ensure all issues are driven to resolution, including immediate mitigation and permanent solution. Create plans\ and projections for future product needs.\ \ RQMTS: Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a closely related field and 5 years of experience in any occupation as systems integration engineer, quality specialist, mechatronics engineer, project engineer or related. Experience must include performing vehicle testing, diagnostics, end-of line vehicle test, wheel alignment, dynamic vehicle tests, autonomous driving tests; utilizing Vector and/or Peak CAN diagnostic tools; working with vehicle communication protocols DoIP, CAN, CANFD, FlexRAY, and LIN; programming with Python, C++, Java, and MATLAB; and utilizing Tableau and\ MATLAB for data analytics.
