    What part will you play?

    The Senior International Accountant is responsible for assisting with the month-end closing process for the Company’s international entities reviewing the international subsidiaries’ monthly financial statements to ensure they are accurate in accordance with United States generally accepted accounting principles (“US GAAP’) as well as international financial reporting standards (“IFRS”) and applicable local statutory requirements. Responsibilities also include coordinating with the international subsidiaries’ accounting functions to provide timely, meaningful and accurate financial information and maintain compliance with internal controls over financial reporting. Accuracy and adherence to deadlines are vital. Timely recognition and correction of errors is essential. Also, attention to details and internal controls is an important requirement. The growth and complexity of the business environment necessitate devotion to the development of new processes and procedures that may not be in existence today.

    *Prefer location is in the Atlanta /Norcross area. Will consider candidates in any virtual location in the US.

    Impact:

    This position will have a direct role in helping to establish accounting policies that will impact the financial well-being of the company. Additionally, this position will be responsible for helping to ensure that our financial statements are accurate and free of material misstatement. May have access to sensitive information.

    What will you be doing?

  • Prepare journal entries for designated, complex areas, in a timely and accurate manner, while ensuring proper documentation / audit trail.

  • Assist in monthly balance sheet and income statement variance analysis, thoroughly investigating and explaining any unusual or material items.

  • Assist in the month end closing process for certain key general ledger accounts and entities including, but not limited to, the preparation of AP/AR aging reports, assisting in the compilation of the consolidated trial balance.

  • Communicate with outsourced accountants from international locations, providing them with monthly documentation necessary for a timely and accurate close.

  • Reconcile local accounting books with international books for various entities

  • Prepare and analyze international financial reports for assigned subsidiaries to ensure they are properly accounted for in accordance with US GAAP and/or IFRS

  • Perform monthly account reconciliations and any international judgments and estimates

  • Ensure Intercompany balances are accurate, confirmed and reconciled

  • Integrate newly acquired companies’ accounting functions into the global finance department; support the implementation of Diversified’s ERP in those operations

  • Ensure each international subsidiary has written policies and procedures including a description of the purpose of each responsibility.

  • Assist external auditors in annual audits of foreign operations.

  • Keep manager informed of activities and confer with him/her regarding plans, problems, and progress towards objectives.

  • Keep job documentation under his/her responsibility updated and current.

  • Assist department in preparation of any special projects.

  • Perform other responsibilities as directed by management.

    What do we require from you?

    Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Prior experience with ERP systems, such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, Great Plains, OneStream, and NetSuite.

  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and problem solve.

  • Ability to quickly comprehend a complex organizational structure, including the general ledger structure and various financial systems, is essential.

  • Proven ability to leverage current technology to drive process efficiency and improve accuracy.

  • Advanced PC skills using Outlook, Word, Excel (ability to perform Pivots, V-lookups and other functions with Excel).

    Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required, or related degree with experience working in an accounting related position.

    Required Work Experience:

  • 3+ years of progressive experience with most recent role at the senior accountant level or equivalent, or strong, experienced staff accountant with leadership experience that is ready to take the next step in career.

Our compensation ranges reflect the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The pay details below range from our lowest geographic market up to our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience depending on the position offered, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
