Supervisor Expectations: Managerial Perspective
The expectations for supervisors are designed to align their daily responsibilities with operational goals, ensuring clear communication, team efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Supervisors must uphold the following standards:
1. Clear Communication with Your Team
- Preparation: Print out and review contracts for your assigned crews, ensuring all team members understand the day's objectives.
- Daily Meetings: Conduct daily stand-up meetings with your crew leads to review tasks, schedules, and expectations.
- Special Projects: Organize planned meetings for larger, more complex jobs to ensure clarity and coordination across the team.
2. Daily Operational Tasks
- App Compliance: Ensure all crew leads log into GeoTab and perform required truck inspections at the start of the day.
- Attendance Management: Maintain an accurate attendance report by updating missed punches and addressing discrepancies promptly.
- Site Inspections: Conduct site inspections to ensure work quality and adherence to safety standards.
3. Crew Engagement and Monitoring
- Arrival Coordination: Monitor and confirm timely job site arrivals for each crew.
- On-Site Progress: Check progress during installations or pickups, ensuring efficiency and addressing delays.
- Issue Resolution: Communicate with crews about any on-site challenges and provide immediate support when needed.
4. Communication with Sales and Field Managers
- Event Consultant Coordination: Maintain clear and consistent communication regarding field updates with the appropriate event consultants.
- Adherence to Contracts: Do not approve or act on any on-site client requests outside the contract scope without explicit authorization from the event consultants.
5. End-of-Day Responsibilities
- KPI Reporting: Review and complete the days Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track operational success.
- App Compliance: Confirm that all crews have logged out of apps and completed the necessary entries.
- Truck Inspections: Ensure final truck inspections are conducted and documented for the day.
- Feedback Documentation: Provide detailed feedback or comments on jobs in the designated event consultant threads to enhance interdepartmental communication and future planning.
Requirements:
- Two to four years of warehouse, delivery or routing management experience.
- Must be able to provide a valid Drivers License and a clean DMV record without major infractions (DUI's, suspensions, etc.)
- Able to pass a background check, DOT pre-employment physical and a pre-employment drug test.
Preferred Experience:
- Bachelors Degree
- Technical ability; experience with Computers and software knowledge.
- Driver/Route experience. CDL is recommended, but not necessary.
- Construction or other outdoor field work experience.
- Three months tent installation experience.
- Bi-lingual/ability to speak Spanish.
Physical demands:
- Work s outdoors , in weather conditions such as heat, cold, sun or rain.
Also works
in a warehouse/indoor environment that does not have air conditioning.
- Must be able to lift approximately 20-40 lbs. consistently; occasionally up to 70 lbs.
- May be exposed to loud or distracting sounds or noise levels.
Travel required:
Daily, to and from job sites.
Company vehicles (trucks).
