Primary Responsibilities:
Understanding network protocols and services (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
Sought out as technical expert and serves as technical leader for assigned areas of subject matter expertise. Good to have experience in VMware/DevOps tools and migrations
Lead the efforts in design, review, troubleshooting and post-production issue resolution
Conduct or facilitate root cause analysis and recommend/execute corrective action plans
Achieves harmonious working relationships with business partners and within team
Ensuring timely deliveries for all assigned tasks as per schedule
Develops innovative approaches on performance optimization & automation
Take ownership of the assigned applications and ensure availability over weekends/holidays as per project need
Providing accurate and timely estimates for tasks

Required Qualifications:
B.Tech / MCA / Graduation (Minimum 16 years of formal education, Correspondence courses are not relevant)
Good experience as Linux system administrator
Experience on RHEL 7,8 and 9
Good exposure of VMware, Patching, Upgradation, SAN allocations, NAS, Filesystem and Networking.
Firm understanding of Linux internals and experience in the design, implementation and maintenance of UNIX/Linux based infrastructures
Should have handled application upgrade projects from server provisioning till final cut-over
Familiarity with configuration management tools (such as Ansible, Puppet, and Chef)
Good to have knowledge of IAC, terraform, GIT
Knowledge about DevOps tools would be an add-on
Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Extensive knowledge on Monitoring tools, networking with good hands-on experience on writing scripts and debugging issues related to operating system
Proven solid organizational skills and focus on accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Handled System performance tuning
Proven good oral & written communication Skills
Effective communications with all levels of internal and external customers and staff
Independent communication with business partners, leads others toward technical accomplishment, collaborative project team efforts and achievement of project goals
Proven self-driven and able to work independently with minimum support/mentoring
Willing to work in shifts as per project requirement
Proven self-driven and be able to work independently
