Job Description

Coordinates all aspects of internal information system-specific projects from initiation to delivery. Projects often involve network, server, or software implementation and upgrades, PC deployment and the like.

Role

  • Collaboration and Coordination

  • Work with the CSM/AMS team in ensuring the Customer Maintenance windows are secured

  • With limitation on current CMDB especially with Legacy systems , work on ensuring the servers associated to the customer maintenance

  • Utilize existing capabilities and sources to have all servers in maintenance windows ( and keep a regular score on this)

  • Source : CMDB, Scan IP List, Tanium etc.

  • Ensure the same is updated in the patching group within CMDB , along with missing asset information

  • Work through the Change planning and documentation – including exception from GBUs on scope and utilization of any planned window

  • Collaborate and Coordinate and drive day-of PSU Database patching , Core Maintenance etc.

  • Manage Day-of regular OS maintenance and document key metrics

  • Working towards gathering additional insights on overall maintenance scorecard

  • Collaborate on maintenance extension and/or outage hand-off to GOC

  • Manage Adhoc maintenance collaboration working with cross functional teams

  • Mostly merging and utilizing existing maintenance where possible

  • Or collaborate one-off window

  • Point of collaboration with GBU AMS teams for planned maintenance escalations ( where customer is not impacted)

  • Customer impacting/outage due to maintenance will be following the Incident Escalation process to GOC

  • OCI Maintenance collaboration and onboarding into regular cadence working with Technical Service and GBU AMS

  • Collaborate any Day-0 vulnerability remediation needing maintenance utilizing existing or negotiating Adhoc maintenance

  • Technology Adoption By GBU

  • Utilize published technical capabilities by GBUCS Patching and Security team to share and improve adoption of those capabilities by GBU teams

  • Capture and provide insights to the GBUCS Patching and security team on GBU utilization and capability needs

  • Reporting & Analytics

  • Communication

  • Maintain log of Day-Of Maintenance ( utilize Slack Channel, Zoom , Communications)

  • Manage closely the timelines and milestones prior and during the maintenance

  • Regular and actionable updates to be communicated during the day-of maintenance

  • Maintenance closure report

  • Drive post-mortem on maintenance that didn’t go as planned with possible CAPAs

Internal Measures and Success

  • Daily, Weekly and monthly maintenance scorecard

  • Reducing and scaling maintenance ( Measure adoption of self-service capability to hit the required GBUCS commitment )

  • Reduction in Outage caused by change

  • Ensure all assets ( servers) have maintenance windows ( utilized , not-utilized, etc.)

  • Maintenance cost and related metrics

  • Accuracy of the servers in maintenance scope ( Zero gaps raised by Technical Patching Team )

  • Include discrepancy in tools and/or process

  • Collaborate on key metrics rolling up to Organizational commitment

  • Self-Service – Adoption and Reporting ( Including escalations on usability if any)

  • Compliance – Maintenance Window and Utilization

  • Change Management & TRB compliance

Duties and tasks are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.
