Naval Supply Systems Command LOGISITICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in Newport News, Virginia

Summary You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER NORFOLK. Responsibilities You will perform material support Management and coordination for Schedule A and Fleet Modernization Program, Government Furnished Equipment, and Government furnished material for Naval Ships You will analyze data to determine what materials can be provided in the ILS system You will analyze , investigate develop and resolve varied, unusual and complex material problems You will track ILS changes that identify data throughout the construction period the measure the progress of each system Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:I have at least one year of specialized experience performing Logistics Management Specialist work equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes performing analytical work which requires applying a practical knowledge of well-established logistics principles, concepts and methods that encompass managing and coordinating a broad spectrum of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) applicable to new ship construction, conversion, overhaul and alteration of shipboard systems and equipment. Specialized experience must include the following: 1.) Utilize a knowledge of various ship, shipyard departments and their interrelated functions and procedures that effect configuration and ILS elements and systems; 2.)Experience with contractual requirements for material responsibilities such as scheduling, acquisition, installation, and disposition for the purpose of reviewing, analyzing, and determining relativity to Government Furnished Material (GFM)/Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) for ships; 3.) Experience performing oversight and execution of various ILS programs and systems in support of shipboard GFE and GFM ; 4.) Analyze and review logistical data to determine materials needed and regularly report finding to the cognizant Configuration Data Manager; 5.)Assisting in the development of budgetary functions for the GFE and GFM requirements; and 6.) Demonstrated experience tracking ILS changes throughout the construction period that identify problems and provide solutions to measure the progress of each GFE and GFM system.
