Job Title: Concrete Finisher (Heavy Highway – Roadway)
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher for Heavy Highway – Roadway projects in the Tidewater region of Virginia (Chesapeake/Newport News/Norfolk). The role involves smoothing and finishing surfaces of poured concrete bridge decks, parapets, sidewalks, or curbs and gutters to specified textures. Key tasks include directing concrete into forms, leveling concrete to specified depth and workable consistency, finishing concrete surfaces, removing rough spots, patching holes, molding expansion joints and edges, and producing rough concrete surfaces with a broom. Experience in commercial projects, barrier walls, curbs, gutters, and working with wet and dry pavement is essential.

Work Environment
The role is based in Newport News, with travel to project sites in company vehicles. Work involves commercial/roadway projects. The role is physically demanding, requiring standing, handling tools, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting weights up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
