Robert Half Director of Accounting in Newport Beach, California
Description We are on the hunt for a Director of Accounting in Newport Beach, California. In this role, you will be managing all aspects of accounting related to our client's customers and leases. With a focus on accounts receivable, you will ensure accurate invoicing, collections, cash application, and accounting for a diverse portfolio of leases and financing arrangements. This position requires robust leadership skills, an in-depth understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to develop efficient processes and reporting.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the accounting team and mentor them for their career growth
• Ensure accurate invoicing, collections, cash application, and accounting across all customer accounts
• Oversee all aspects of financial reporting and month-end close
• Implement technical accounting standards and drive continuous process improvements
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SOX, and other internal accounting policies
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, legal, technical, contracts, risk, and finance leadership for an efficient management of receivables and related accounting
• Take full ownership of the accounts receivable function
• Use accounting software systems and tools such as ADP - Financial Services, BlackLine, Concur, and CRM to streamline processes
• Handle accounting functions including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Participate in auditing and budget processes. Requirements • Proven proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Demonstrated experience with ADP - Financial Services
• Familiarity with BlackLine is a must
• Proficiency in using Concur
• Experience with CRM systems
• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions
• Able to manage Accounts Payable (AP)
• Proficient in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience in Auditing is required
• Solid understanding of Budget Processes is necessary
