Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Yard Jockey to secure and organize a container storage yard. In this role, you will be utilizing a yard switcher and pickup truck, directing drivers who are picking up and dropping off equipment, handling gate security transactions, lifting and relocating improperly parked equipment, and performing security checks and inventory counts.

Responsibilities

Essential Skills

  • General labor

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills

  • Experience with yard hustler

Work Environment

There are three openings available: two for 3rd shift from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM (Sunday - Thursday) and one for 2nd shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM (Tuesday - Saturday). The role involves working outdoors in a shipping container storage yard, utilizing a yard jockey, pickup truck, and forklift. Candidates must be comfortable working in various weather conditions and must have steel toe boots.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newark, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
