Job Overview:
The Transplant Assistant for the Lung Transplant Program works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team and is responsible for supporting the clinical and administrative staff by assisting with patient evaluations and care. Assist the transplant coordinators in all phases of transplant: pre-transplant evaluations, transplant, and post-transplant
Qualifications:
Required:
3-5 years of recent medical experience
Medical assistant Certification
High School degree required
Associates Degree preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office components (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point)
Preferred:
Certifications and Licenses Required (if applicable):

Essential Functions:
Chart preparation for Patient Selection Committee (recipient, waitlist) and operational meetings. Scanning documents into the different medical records and transplant database

Obtain basic insurance authorizations. Schedule and reschedule testing as needed. Obtain Sharing Network forms and complete as necessary for blood tests
