Position Summary
Aligned to Prudential Advisors vision to be recognized as the leading provider of financial advice and solutions and the top destination for talent, the Director, Learning & Development is a critical asset to the business. This position will manage and lead a team that is critical to the success of the growth strategy in a fast paced and demanding business.
The Director is responsible for:
Development and delivery of management and leadership programs, both virtually and in person, for our field leaders
Partnering with internal and external partners to identify learning needs of new advisors and delivering just in time sales skills training to prepare for a successful launch
Incorporating innovative learning methodologies to increase competency and skills for new and experienced advisors
Managing business specific LMS requirements and reporting in partnership with our external key business partners
Managing development of workshops aligned to needs of the top advisors at our annual APEX conference
Assess strategic learning needs, consult with business leaders in the organization for alignment, and then define & drive a strategy to deliver on those needs
Lead individual, large-scale learning projects and coordinate across the L&D org to deliver on those projects
Act as an integrator and knowledge broker across business/functions to maximize the impact of learning strategy and deliverables
Foster an inclusive environment of continuous learning and development.
Create strongworkingrelationships with peers and business leaders across the enterprise
Qualifications:
7 years of relevant work experience, including 5 years managing a team, which may include virtual employees
Experience in advisor and field leadership learning and development preferred
Strong understanding of financial sales organizations, including the needs of both field leaders and advisors at various experience levels
Proficiency in using AI and other technologies to enhance learning
Strong relationship management skills
Strong project management skills with a focus on meeting deliverables and adhering to project plans
Strong understanding and experience with Prudential Advisors, or similar financial services field structure
Exceptional relationship-building and partnering skills
Ability to influence business partners to achieve desired results
Strong people management experience
Ability to gather feedback and develop programs that address the ongoing needs of the field
Capacity to multi-task high-priority projects and deliverables
Travel is required for the role approximately 30%. Role is hybrid for candidates within NY/NJ area but can be virtual with frequent trips to the home office (Newark) for qualified virtual candidate(s).
What we offer you:
Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $141,100.00 to $191,000.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
