The Entertainment Marketing team-which sits in NBCU’s Media Group-is responsible for marketing across NBC and it’s six cable entertainment networks: Bravo, E!, Oxygen, SYFY, USA Network, and Universal Kids. This includes driving consumption, fan engagement, and content marketing for some of the plans for the biggest shows and franchises across the entertainment networks, including The Voice, Real Housewives, Law & Order and more. The Audience Acquisition & Growth team is responsible for driving digital fan engagement, content marketing, and overall audience strategy. Our team is seeking a product and user experience leader to define, develop, and manage a suite of digital products for consumer-facing entertainment brands including Bravo, NBC, USA, SYFY, Universal Kids, Oxygen and Peacock.

The ideal candidate will define the product vision for our web platforms and set a direction against a clear set of business goals and KPIs. This is a critical member of our digital leadership team, who will work across divisions and with multiple stakeholders to shape and implement the ultimate digital experience for our fans.

The role requires strategic thinking and the ability to both craft and articulate a clear product vision, while remaining equally comfortable working in the trenches on executional detail. It will be critical to put the needs of our fans first, while maintaining a tireless focus on delivering key business metrics that drive reach, usage and monetization.

The VP, Product & UX will lead and mentor a small team of product managers and visual designers and will ultimately be responsible for setting and nurturing a culture of trust, transparency, and accountability.

This leader will have a keen sensibility for how to balance both art and science in their overall vision and approach. The right candidate will be grounded in a rock-solid foundation of data-driven decision making, while never losing sight of the importance of brand and voice in creating experiences that consumers love.

Experience working for an entertainment/media brand with a proven track record of growth is strongly preferred, with a knowledge of building subscription digital experiences being a plus.

* This full-time role is required to be on-site in NBCUniversal's NY office on a hybrid schedule *

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee product development and UX for a suite of digital platforms with a focus on web and mobile.

  • Oversee and maintain product roadmap and communicate status to leadership and other key stakeholders.

  • Lead a team of product managers and visual designers and build a best-in-class UX-centric culture within the group.

  • Partner with Tech, Content/Editorial/Video production, Audience Growth, and PMO teams to define and execute product strategy.

  • Work with internal stakeholders (Brand Marketing, Brand Creative, Sales, etc) to ensure that all marketing, brand, and sales objectives are being fulfilled across our platforms.

  • Accelerate the growth of A/B and user testing across the group. Experience with Launch Darkly a plus, experience in a A/B testing platform a must.

  • Define the future vision state of our digital fan platforms in response to changing market, consumer, and technology trends.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years professional experience leading product development and UX (preferably in Entertainment and/or focused on digital content.)

  • Proven track-record in growing business results around core digital products for a consumer-facing brand.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience optimizing products & UX to drive conversions to specific KPIs including email sign-ups, commerce transactions, and loyalty programs.

  • Demonstrated understanding of how users consume content across different platforms, with a focus on video and mobile first content.

  • CMS and Drupal Experience a Bonus.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, and ability to flex style across multiple levels of an organization.

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

Salary range: $230,000 - $270,000 (bonus & long-term incentive eligible)
