The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Dean's Research Assistant works with Dean Linda P. Fried, noted epidemiologist and aging expert. The position provides critical research support to Dean Fried on a variety of issues. The research conducted informs articles that appear in the premier public health journals world-wide, and which also have an impact on public health policy discussions. The appropriate candidate will research and compile briefing memos on issues related to topics including, but not limited to, aging, COVID/pandemic response, chronic disease,
global health, child health, social influences on health, and public health education. Research support encompasses online literature reviews, report writing - including manuscript preparation, submission and tracking - and editing. The candidate will also assist with the development and design of presentations for the Dean's talks before assemblies of leaders in science, industry and government. For approximately a third of the role, the incumbent also provides administrative support for the Dean's Office, including correspondence, research, and, potentially, assistance with special event logistics. The role requires excellent writing skills, attention to detail, judgment and flexibility. Performs additional related duties as assigned.
