MPG Operations LLC Software Engineer in New York, New York
The Software Engineer (multiple openings) at MPG Operations LLC in New York, New York will contribute throughout the entire software lifecycle of our pricing data and pricing related software systems, from requirements and design, through implementation, to production releases and support. Interact directly with Operations and other Technology teams on software development initiatives to gather and analyze requirements. Align on deliverables and timelines. Facilitate tight software release cycles. Leverage strong software development skills, adapt to changing conditions, and deliver code with a quick turnaround. Responsible for software development in Java and SQL database development for our pricing systems. Apply multithreading architecture, algorithms, data structures, vendor data feeds, and event streaming platforms, like Kafka. Take ownership of assigned projects, unit testing, and make suggestions for improvements across the Fixed Income Applications infrastructure. Telecommuting available. Salary: $175,000 - $250,000 per year. Minimum Requirements: Requires a Master's degree in Computer Engineering, or a related field, plus 3 years in a professional software engineering occupation, or related, in the investment industry. Employer will also accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, or a related field, plus 5 years in a professional software engineering occupation, or related, in the investment industry. Must include 3 years of experience with each of the following: (1) Java and Spring Boot; (2) SQL database development; (3) multithreading, algorithms, and data structures; (4) distributed system design, micro services, and caching; (5) unit testing, including Junit, Mockito, or Cucumber; (6) HTML and CSS; (7) JavaScript, including AngularJS, JQuery, React, or Dojo; (8) live (ticking) security price data, including Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Exegy, or internal price sources; and (9) Kafka, Solace, or JMS.To apply please send resume to recruiting@mlp.com and reference job code "0389" when applying.#LI-DNI #LI-NDI #LI-DNP
