MPG Operations LLC Software Engineer in New York, New York
The Software Engineer (multiple openings) at MPG Operations LLC in New York, NY will leverage data engineering and data science on a diverse portfolio of applications, hardware, and software to optimize and automate the firm's Infrastructure. Stabilize the firm’s technology platforms by correlating historical trends, identifying root causes, and implementing autonomous issue identification and resolution. Architect platforms and analyze big data ecosystems. Identify, collect, and analyze data and perform correlation modeling. Apply machine-learning techniques to develop automated software solutions for operational tasks. Build alerts and dashboards to provide transparency on performance, utilization, and workload. Collaborate with various stakeholders to identify software needs and ensure that business problems are being discovered and prioritized. Code using programming languages such as Python, Java, and C#. Visualize and manipulate big datasets. Utilize data mining techniques including regression, text mining, and social network analysis. Analyze datasets using statistical packages. Utilize industry application and infrastructure standards in data models, real-time messaging, and big data analysis. Salary: $108,306 - $175,000 per year. Minimum Requirements: Requires a Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, plus 1 year in a professional software engineering occupation. Must include 1 year of experience with each of the following: (1) Programming languages including SQL, Python, Go, Java, or C#; (2) Agile methodologies; (3) Version control systems including Git or Stat; (4) Continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines; (5) data engineering, cleaning, preprocessing, and governance; (6) analyzing datasets; and (7) Identifying root cause of technical issues and developing effective solutions.
