As a Senior Product Manager (Technical) for the Brand Shopping Experiences (BSX) team, you will use a combination of outstanding leadership, thought clarity, analytical skills, cross-functional partnership, business model analysis, and strategic thinking to innovate on behalf of our customers. You "think big, start small" and are excited about the prospect of building new programs from scratch and scaling it to meet future, unforeseen customer needs and business opportunities. You are comfortable having both technical and strategic design conversations with senior engineering and product leaders. You also have a proven track record of owning and delivering world-class experiences for brands (i.e. B2B) that raise-the-bar from an innovation, usability, and design perspective. Lastly, you deliver results in an ambiguous, fast-paced, dynamic business environment and are comfortable exercising judgment across a spectrum of highly diverse problems.

Key job responsibilities

• Lead the development of the product vision, strategy and roadmap

• Create consensus for the product vision both internally and with key partner teams

• Work closely with software engineering, design, and business stakeholders to deliver features

• Define an ambitious product roadmap to deliver on your vision while making iterative progress on behalf of our customers

• Actively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals

• Strong attention to detail and end-to-end ownership

• Must be able to think creatively, deal with ambiguity, and manage changing priorities

• Strong verbal/written communication & data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams

A day in the life

In this role, you will be the voice of our brand customers by speaking directly and often with brands to understand their pain points and needs while using our products. You will translate these needs into a vision for how to make building and growing a brand on Amazon easier. You will present your vision to gain buy-in with senior leadership and work with partner teams in the Amazon Stores and Ads organizations as well as with design, science, and engineering teams to iteratively deliver on this vision.

About the team

The Brand Shopping Experiences (BSX) team strives to be a primary enabler of brand-building on Amazon. We help brands develop discovery, consideration, and loyalty with shoppers; expressed in meaningful connections that strengthen brands' current and future sales. Our main customer facing programs are Brand Stores, Brand Posts, and Brand Follow.

We will consider candidates in Seattle, New York or Vancouver Canada.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience managing technical products or online services

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

  • 4+ years of end to end product delivery experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight

  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
