Job Description

The Senior Manager, Product Operations is essential to ensuring Publicis Media products and services are delivered (e.g., against scope, cost, time, quality) and maintained through program management methodology and business operations. Be the point person tasked with ensuring the latest best practices and tools are in place and available for product developers so that the product team can build a product, not the tools.

The Senior Manager will be the Scrum Master for development teams assigned to large-scale and long duration projects to deliver business solutions to the company. Includes oversight of full project lifecycle from inception to implementation with the ability to manage multiple project tracks and teams using Agile methodologies and practices. The Senior Manager understands and the purpose, the objectives and the solutions for product development efforts.

The Senior Manager will participate in the estimation, risk and resolution, status reporting process, and ensure that the team meets their commitments and guides delivery. The Senior Manager ensures quality of products and service comply with the agency or client’s needs.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Plan, Manage large-scale concurrent projects using the Agile framework

  • Schedule Agile ceremonies on a bi-weekly basis aligned with the sprint schedule

  • Ensure there is a application of program management methodologies and standards, including risk mitigation

  • Guide Operational Excellence process and make sure main success metrics and trend reports are available to our Product and Engineering teams for each sprint

  • Develop and enduring business relationships with senior and mid-level executives

  • Work in a collaborative environment and to ensure successful project deployment

  • Understand main business and technology drivers

  • Write user stories and tickets with all required details so that its estimable for prioritization and implementation

  • Review and management of user stories and tickets throughout the sprint cycle

  • Track main analytics metrics and provide insights and feedback for the Product team to influence the roadmap/prioritization of potential product changes on a quarterly basis

  • Experience managing execution teams through influence where direct reporting lines do not exist

  • Work with the Product Owner and sponsor to identify and assure delivery against main business objectives, priorities, expectation setting.

  • Preform other duties as assigned or requested

Qualifications

  • Excellent understanding of product management and project management principles

  • Product Management acumen

  • 5-7 years product operations experience

  • 5-7 years technology or product development experience or managing in a consulting environment

  • Hands-on experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies with enterprise-level application development projects

  • Experience as an Agile coach

  • Strong analytical skills and able to create insight out of large datasets

  • Experience gathering business insights and identifying trends from data

  • You have experience working in a complex, matrixed environment, managing multiple stakeholders

  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale programs

  • Strong negotiation and issue resolution skills

  • Understanding of software development life cycle and expert knowledge of both Agile and Plan-driven project management principles and practices with the ability to blend them together

  • Ability to manage key stakeholders including executive team members

  • Experience working on products, solutions, or Ad Tech

  • Experience working with Agile Project Management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Rally or equivalent

  • Experience with multiple project methodologies (Scrum, ATERN, Waterfall, Prince2)

  • PMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master Certification, Bachelor’s degree in business or computer science or MBA

Experience Preferred but not required:

  • Experience in Media or Advertising

Compensation Range: $81,500 - $128,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
