Senior Lead, Product Management & Development in New York, New York with Standard and Poor’s Financial Services LLC.*Telecommuting permitted: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the S&P Financial Services office in New York, New York.Job Duties: Interact with issuers, investors, and intermediaries to foster use of S&P Global Ratings’ products/platforms or services as well as to identify new products based on their needs. Develop and maintain a database of all potential customers in the market for new products/platforms to be launched. Conduct comparative analysis against competitors and provide input to strategic planning of product direction and features. Perform analysis of product profitability and sales success. Oversee win/loss analysis for the products. Define and size S&P market segments and determine the optimum S&P distribution strategy. Recommend improvements to S&P proprietary products/platforms based on client feedback. Manage the analysis of competitive markets to assist in developing ideas for new product/platform development. Collaborate with Sales management to ideate and properly position solutions, set sales plans for products, and develop sales force product/platform training plans. Assist the businesses with all aspects of planning a new product launch including product definition, technical feasibility, and market strategy. Execute go-to-market strategy for the product/platform by providing tools, support and guidance to product marketing team members deploying regional marketing campaigns, creating marketing assets and metrics. Develop/modify product value propositions for each relevant target market. Negotiate with various parties (including IT partners, as necessary) on deadlines/obstacles as part of the product development cycle.Position requirements: Bachelor’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Business, Finance, Commerce, or a related field and ten (10) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. *In lieu of a 4-year Bachelor’s degree, employer will accept a 3-year degree from an accredited U.S. or foreign university. Must have ten (10) years of experience with selling or managing fixed income market products. Must have five (5) years of experience with: conducting market research; product development process; managing and supporting client relationships at the senior executive level; presenting to a company’s senior executive /management to propose strategic options for their approval; and business case development including market sizing, competitor analysis and financial projections.Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday)The anticipated base salary range for this position is $239,466 to $250,300 per year. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses & certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
