Position: Senior Data ScientistDuties: Formulate and apply mathematical modeling and other optimizing methods to develop and interpret information that assists management. Play an instrumental role in user segmentation and modeling, analysis of key platform and behavioral trends, and A|B testing. Retrieve, manipulate, analyze & model, and visualize data from Roku’s Big Data Platform. Function as an intermediary between Big Data and timely business initiatives. Design and execute A|B tests to determine optimal decisions around product, advertising, and email strategy. Leverage Roku’s vast amounts of data to generate business insights that inform leadership strategy. Build visualizations to illustrate complex on-platform behavioral trends. Interface with business and product leaders to communicate insight from analyses and testing. Education Required: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics/Data Engineering, Math, Physics, Economics, or related field.Experience Required: None.Alternate Requirements:Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics/Data Engineering, Math, Physics, Economics, or related field, and 1 year of experience as Data Analyst, Data Science Intern, or related occupation.Special Requirements: Must have academic training, coursework, or work experience in the following: 1) A|B test design; 2) Exploring, retrieving, and transforming data from high volume data warehouses; 3) Statistical distributions and predictive modeling techniques; 4) SQL; 5) Coding in R or Python; 6) Creating data visualizations and management reporting (For examples, Tableau, Looker, OLAP cubes, etc.); 7) Translating business need into appropriate analytics projects to support decisions by business stakeholders.Salary: $174,250 - $216,000 per yearApplicant instructions: Email resume toresumes@roku.com.Must ref job code 85667 in subject line to be considered.
